CCSK

The Basics:

The CCSK (Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge) is a relatively new player to the game of cybersecurity certifications. This is because the field of cloud security itself is still in its infancy. So if you are interested in working in an industry that is brand new and constantly evolving this might be the certification to save up for. One of the CCSK’s main selling points is that it tests a vendor-neutral understanding of cloud security. So regardless if your future employer uses google workspace, Microsoft, or some smaller player that you have the required knowledge to help secure their cloud workspace.

Exam Cost: $395 but you get two attempts at it

The test covers 14 domains of cloud security (plus 2 extra domains so it really covers 16 domains of cloud security):

  • Cloud Computing Concepts and Architecture

  • Governance and Enterprise Risk Management

  • Legal Issues, Contracts, and Electronic Discovery

  • Compliance and Audit Management

  • Information Governance

  • Management Plane and Business Continuity

  • Infrastructure Security

  • Virtualization and Containers

  • Incident Response

  • Application Security

  • Data Security and Encryption

  • Identity, Entitlement and Access Management

  • Security as a Service

  • Related Technologies

  • Cloud Controls Matrix

  • ENISA Recommendations

Our Review:

Once again we have not yet taken this certification but Soler, the gullible moron, is scheduled to take it in October and will write a review if they can be cajoled into continue working with us after we make them take three certifications in three months.
