PancakesCon
The Basics:
PancakesCon is truly a conference for all, regardless of your level of experience and access to funds. Besides having an incredible name, as pancakes are incredible, PancakesCon is very much a community focused and community first conference and is accessible to anybody with a decent internet connection. This conference is absolutely free and is not for profit and appears to have a simple and admirable goal, to provide interesting speeches about cybersecurity related topics and then a lecture about cybersecurity unrelated topics just for fun. We could try to summarize everything that PancakesCon aims to do, but we feel they do an excellent job of that on their website:
“All PancakesCon talks must be 40-45 minutes long. They MUST consist of two parts: A brief talk about any cybersecurity topic targeted at junior professional / students, and a brief talk about something which is not IT related. The non-IT topics can cover anything from hobbies to fitness, cooking to music.”

Fantastic and great for cybersecurity newbies.
We didn’t watch the conference live, although we fully intend to do so in 2023, but we watched a number of the recordings available on the PancakesCon YouTube channel and we recommend that you do as well. You will encounter many riveting talks by passionate people who are donating their time to share their knowledge and inspire future cybersecurity professionals. Did we mention that it is completely free? So you literally lose nothing by checking it out.
